Crystal Green
A long time ago, in a land far, far away (Milwaukee, WI, St. Luke’s Hospital), Crystal Green joined the world. While moving to Southern California, Kentucky, then back to California, she amused herself by writing poetry and short stories featuring the ultimate Alpha malesSuperman and Indiana Jones. Later, after graduating from with a B.A. in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Crystal decided to become a romance writer.
While she wrote, Crystal worked as an eighth-grade teacher in San Diego, but resigned in 2002 to pursue writing full time. She still pops in to absorb the students’ energy though, substituting every so often. One thing that has remained constant is Crystal’s critique partners, Sheri WhiteFeather (Silhouette Desire®), Judy Duarte (Silhouette Special Edition®), and Sylvia Mendoza (Encanto®/ journalistic fireball). Without these ladies, writing would be a lonely road.
Crystal enjoys creating Silhouette Special Edition® stories that take place in the same townKane's Crossing. So far, five couples have found romance in this quirky locale (a cross between Mayberry and the Twilight Zone). She’s also happy to have been invited to write for the Montana Mavericks continuity, with two books in the series appearing in June and November of 2003.
Whenever she can, she travels, including backpacking trips in Europe. Romance Writers of America's National conferences also allow her to discover this country's incredible cities and monuments. Recently, she and Sheri WhiteFeather took a trip on a portion of Route 66 so Crystal could research a mainstream novel that’s been keeping her awake at night.
She’d love to hear from her readers. You can write to her at 8895 Towne Centre Drive, Suite 105-178, San Diego, CA 92122-5542.
