Laura Wright
Laura Wright started reading romance novels later than most. At the not-so-tender age of eighteen her sister told her about a woman named, Victoria Holt. From that day forward, Laura could always be seen with a romance in one hand and some type of sweet in the other!
Before writing, Laura went through several careers including competitive ballroom dancing, singing in a girl's pop group (where they all sported the same mole, drawn on of
course ) and acting in commercials, the theater and one brief stint on Days of Our Lives. Then she met her husband and best friend, Daniel. This Renaissance man led her to believe that she could do anything and that "thing" should be the true passion of her heart.
Enter romance writer Barbara Ankrum, who taught the most amazing class on writing at UCLA. She was more than a mentor to Laura; she was a cheerleader and friend. So along with four amazing critique partners, Laura has managed to have two books rejected and eight sold in just under five years, several of which have landed on the Walden's Bestseller List.
Writing is a true blessing and Laura thanks God every day she was led to it (except on those days she can't remember how to spell the word "the" and wants to chuck the keyboard out the window). But those days are few and far between!
Laura grew up in Minnesota, found adventure in such far-flung locales as New York, Ohio, Milwaukee, Key West and San Diego, but found her "true north" in Los Angeles with her theatrical production manager husband, three spoiled dogs and her new baby girl, Isabella, who, some say, has awesome leg strength for a three-month old!
Laura sincerely believes in family, bosom friends and the healing power of love, and hopes her books reflect those values.
