Roxann Delaney
Roxann doesn’t remember a time when she didn’t have books and lots of them, from all over the country. Born and raised in Kansas, where she still lives, her life hasn’t been confined to the Wheat State. As a child, she traveled with her parents, visiting 48 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, and even Havana, Cuba.
She spent her early childhood in the city, then moved to a small town when she was 12 and to a farm when she married.

Even before she could read, books were hard for her to put down, and she was often caught under the covers with a flashlight after bedtime enjoying her books. She continues to travel to romance writers’ conferences, but she leaves the flashlight at home.
But theater and the performing arts called to her in high school and she was actively involved in the drama department, including playing the roles of Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, Vinnie, the mother, in Life with Father, and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun. Later, she helped form a community theater group in her hometown; where she acted in and directed the group's productions.
She's always written in some form — diaries, pen pals, plays, books, to-do lists… Writing equates to breathing for her. But she began to take it seriously when her daughters were younger and she picked up a copy of a Baby-Sitters Club book. She thought, I could do that! Ten years later, she found the best place for her — romance. She’s come to the conclusion that reading, writing, and acting are nothing more than excuses to become someone else…at least in her own mind.
As a single mother of four daughters, life is never boring in her small hometown, where her ancestors settled more than 100 years ago. She’s watched the family tree sprout new branches and she is thrilled at becoming a grandmother to her very first granddaughter named Scarlett (yes, of Gone With the Wind fame).
When she isn’t writing or reading, or dealing with family crises, she keeps her former classmates up to date on each other as the official class reunion planner and the creator/web mistress of their very own web site.
Writing is still her first love, and she’s thrilled to have followed the yellow brick road to her personal Oz, the land of Silhouette Romance novels.
