Anne Lum

Back in 6th Grade, when Sister Mary Francis found out that Anne was starting to read Gone with the Wind, she told Anne that it was much too old for her and not suitable. Little did the nun know by saying that, she was just adding fueling to the fire!

After having read boxes and boxes full of Barbara Cartland historicals and Harlequin romances, was it any wonder that when Anne actually looked at the boys around her, she was quite peeved that she couldn’t find a single dashing duke or corporate tycoon in sight? Granted she was in middle school, but still! Not a single lord or knight! What was up with that? she wondered.

Happily, her prince finally showed up, and amazingly he was in her college chemistry class. While her husband does not have royal blood, he is a prince at heart and treats Anne like the princess she has always imagined herself to be. They’ve been married for 15 years, but will have been on their continuing honeymoon for 22 years now.

Anne’s career has ranged from managing grants for a major cancer institute; to being a “Chicken Princess” in charge of production scheduling for a food manufacturing company who supplies a well-known fast food franchise; to being a “Sunglass Diva” in charge of forecasting and product marketing of high-end sunglasses; to being a technical writer of computer manuals that nobody wants to read. Having such a diverse work background doesn’t mean that Anne is unfocused, she’s just a multi-talented schizophrenic!

Since discovering her love for writing fiction, Anne has now embarked on a long journey toward publication. In the meantime, she still devours books voraciously and loves romances, mysteries, intrigue, suspense, and all the possible combinations thereof. Reviewing books just validates her being a night owl and gives her an excuse to stay up late reading into the wee hours of the morning — much to her husband’s chagrin.

Anne, her husband, and their two young princes live in California and are in the process of building their miniature dream castle.
