When Diana was 11 years old, she started reading romance novels and, as you can imagine, the books were a lot tamer back then. Helen R. Meyers was the author that really got her hooked as a child, but the romance novels and Diana have sort of evolved together. As the books got more exciting, she became more addicted to reading them. Diana says her books are like old friends—they've been through just about everything together, all the ups and downs of life!
It's now quite a few years later and she still hasn't lost her love for reading romance. She now reads a book a day during the week and two a day on the weekend, after her husband and kids go to sleep. Diana is a pushover for happy endings and she admits that when reading a sad story she cries with the best of them. She doesn't limit herself to one particular genre. Diana reads Mainstream Single Title, Series, Suspense, Historical—as long as there is romance in it, she is there!
She starts out each month at the bookstore and grabs the first romance novel that jumps out at her. By the end of the month, she has bought just about every new book that was released that month. Then it's time to start over again. She is such a good customer that the local bookstore manager calls her to come in and preview the new selections as soon as they arrive, before they're put out on display.
Diana is married to a wonferful, understanding, biker/construction worker and has two beautiful daughters and one loveable stepson. When she is not reading, visiting author related websites or chatting with other lovers of romance, she spends her days as manager of a small gift shop making fudge and ice cream cones. Try doing that every day and not gain any weight!
